Tokyo Beatbox are a group of friends who have known each other since Secondary School. Simon, Gaz and Andy were in a beat-combo called The New Pirates up until 2005, when they got together with Chris to form Tokyo Beatbox.
Much has been achieved from these humble beginnings. Airplay from Steve Lamacq on BBC 6Music, a glowing review in the NME, ("skratty lo-fi punk pop gems ... like John Peel favourites Television Personalities at their shambling best") and a bizarre evening supporting Pete Doherty.
Tokyo Beatbox have packed out gigs in Leicester, Manchester and London. Live shows are shameless affairs, featuring lots of dodgy dancing and ill-advised banter.
